Cargill Kitchen Solutions operates an egg processing operation in Mason City. First established in 2005, the Cargill Mason City facility has expanded several times and now employs more than 135 people, standing as a major food processing employer in the region.

Mercy Medical Center North Iowa has a tradition in the Mason City vicinity dating back to its founding in 1916. Nearly a century later, Mercy serves as the center of a premier rural healthcare delivery system for northern Iowa and southern Minnesota.

With a staff of more than 2,600, including approximately 400 providers, the Mercy North Iowa network consists of the Mason City medical center, plus eight critical access hospitals, and owns a number of primary care and specialty clinics. In addition, a home health agency, a hospice, a regional referral laboratory, pharmacies, an emergency services network and regional rehabilitation and diagnostic technology services round out the Mercy North Iowa network of service offerings

The Principal Financial Group® (The Principal®) is a leading global financial company offering businesses, individuals and institutional clients a wide range of financial products and services. Their range of products and services includes retirement solutions, insurance, wellness programs, and investment and banking products through our diverse family of financial services companies and national network of financial professionals. Principal operates a large pension processing center in downtown Mason City which employs hundreds of North Iowans.

RSM US LLP is the largest U.S. provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, with nearly 6,500 professionals and associates in more than 75 offices nationwide. RSM is a licensed CPA firm. It is the U.S. member of RSM International (“RSMI”), the seventh largest network of independent accounting, tax and consulting firms worldwide, with offices in more than 100 countries and more than 32,500 people to serve clients’ business needs. The member firms of RSMI collaborate to provide services to global clients, but are separate and distinct legal entities which cannot obligate each other. Each member firm is responsible only for its own acts and omissions, and not those of any other party. RSM maintains a regional office in Mason City which services the North Iowa and Southern Minnesota markets with accounting.

Smithfield Foods offers a complete line of proteins across a popular family of brands including bacon, pizza toppings, franks, smoked sausages, hams and deli meats.Armour-Eckrich maintains a large meat processing operation in Mason City which produces, among other products, smoked ham products for sale nationwide. The Mason City facility employs over 250.

Golden Grain Energy is a privately-held company dedicated to adding value to northern Iowa’s corn production by turning locally-grown corn into clean-burning ethanol. The company currently produces approximately 100 million gallons of ethanol annually at a plant in Mason City, Iowa. Owned by more than 800 members, the majority of whom are northeast Iowa farmers, Golden Grain Energy is committed to being a strong partner in the local community, a key player in the regional economy and a leader in Iowa’s ethanol industry. Golden Grain employs 48 individuals in rewarding professional careers and purchase approximately 40 million bushels of corn annually from producers and grain dealers. In addition to ethanol, Golden Grain Energy produces distillers grains and non-food grade corn oil, providing a feed source for local livestock producers.

Employing nearly 650 people, One Vision is a private, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to serving people with intellectual disabilities. One Vision is based in Clear Lake, Iowa but their services reach into many local communities, and they serve individuals from throughout Iowa. They provide a caring, supportive atmosphere for more than 600 people who receive one or more types of service from One Vision. Ages range from infants to senior citizens. Disabilities include intellectual disabilities, mental illness, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, brain injury, autism, and more. One Vision services are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and currently has a 3-year accreditation, the highest level possible.

Humach manages inbound and outbound customer sales and support, membership services, and market research through several award-winning contact centers in Iowa. The company’s Mason City operation opened in June 2013 as WS Live.

In fact, our diverse portfolio includes many of the most popular food brands in North America, including three with annual net revenues exceeding $1 billion each – Kraft cheeses, dinners and dressings; Oscar Mayer meats; and Maxwell House coffees – plus an additional 17 brands with annual net revenues of between $100 million and $1 billion each.A long-time North Iowa employer, Kraft maintains a large production operation in Mason City which produces more than one billion refrigerated gelatin cup products annually.

With hundreds of production sites across the U.S. and Canada, Lehigh Hanson is one of the largest construction materials companies in North America.Lehigh operates a large cement manufacturing and quarrying operation in Mason City, shipping product throughout the Midwest. The cement industry is a bedrock of the history of Mason City, where large deposits of limestone and clay have supported the industry for over a century.

FRC Component Products, Inc. is comprised of a diverse manufacturing base that supplies many products ranging from decorated plastic components, magnetics, and illuminated panel products, to communication and navigation antennas for the avionics and other industries. FRC also supplies value-added services with a wire preparation department and a Grade A paint facility that provides silkscreening and hotstamping. FRC hosts a machining facility that maintains conventional machining operations along with numeric controlled lathes, mills, and machining centers. All of these processes are backed by our engineering and test departments which support our production with state-of-the-art equipment.

McKesson Corp., a leader in the health care and pharmaceutical industry, is currently constructing a 340,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in the Larry Luker Memorial Industrial Park in Clear Lake. The project is expected to create 164 new jobs with an annual payroll of approximately $6.5 million.

With headquarters in San Francisco, California, McKesson is ranked 15th on the FORTUNE 100 and has more than $137.6 billion in annual revenue. McKesson has eight subsidiaries and about 85,000 employees worldwide.

McKesson plans to open the new facility in May of 2016.
